Introduction to full arch Implant reconstruction
The 2022 Scheduled Course Dates are:
December 9-10 and 11 (Elective human cadaver training)
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants will become familiar with:
- Basic principles of full arch implant reconstruction
- Current and basic literature on full arch implant supported prosthesis.
- Surgical techniques with full arch implant cases
- Clinical and laboratory steps in fabricating full arch implant prosthesis
- Current treatment concepts in full arch implant reconstructions
- ALL on X treatment planning and limitations
- Current trends in full arch implant reconstruction
- Conventional techniques in complete arch implant supported prosthesis.
- Merging conventional and digital technology when fabricating full arch implant supported prosthesis.
Course Outline
Day 1 Friday:
8:30 am - 9:00 am: Breakfast, registration
9:00 am - 10.30 am: Lecture, basic principles on full arch implant reconstruction
10.30 am - 10.45 am: Coffee Break
10:45 am - 12:30 pm: Lecture, basic principles on full arch implant reconstruction
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Lunch
1:30 pm - 3.00 pm: Lecture, Implementation of digital technology in full arch implant reconstruction
3.00 pm - 3.15 pm: Coffee break
3.15 pm - 5.00 pm: Lecture, conventional and digital full arch implant reconstruction workflows
Day 2 Saturday:
8: 30 am - 9:00 am: Breakfast
9:00 am - 12:30 pm: Laboratory workshop. Place implants on stereolithographic models. Use of multiunit abutments. Impression techniques. Clinical and laboratory steps.
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Lunch
1:30 pm - 5:00pm: Laboratory exercise, placement of implants and fabricate a conversion prosthesis. Step by step instruction.
Day 3 Sunday (ELECTIVE, separate registration is required):
8:30 am - 9:15 am: Breakfast
9:15 am - 1:00 pm: Human cadaver workshop, placement of full arch implants on a cadaver
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Lunch
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Human cadaver workshop completion and lecture - Current trends in full arch implant rehabilitation.
